KMEG are concerned about a number of misleading statements that have served to reduce impetus to address the serious medical crisis in the camps. Below are various instances. Explode them HERE 1. "IDP families were offered alternatives, but refused" 2. "The South Mitrovicë/Mitrovica Mahalla will provide a suitable relocation site". 3. "Failure to move families to lead safe environments was due to lack of engagement" 4. "They were poisoning themselves through the smelting of car batteries" 5. "The Lead levels are Decreasing" 6. "Osterode Camp is lead safer'' 7. The Helsinki Commission's recent report (January 2009) 8. "There are simply not enough resources available to help these lead-poisoned families'' 9. "Medical evacuation and resettlement to a Western country is unrealistic'' 10.
